Live Boldly

We’re born into this world with bold spirit. We poop, burp, cry and scream without any respect (or rather disrespect) for person or place. Same is true when we’re born again. We’re so excited about receiving Jesus as our Savior till we can’t wait to tell everyone no matter who they are.

God calls us to be bold. “For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.”  2 Timothy 1:7

As a teen struggling with the dynamics of your parents’ divorce, boldness may not even be on your radar right now. Are you handling your struggles as if you had no alternative to worrying?  

Consider this. Jesus protected a woman who was caught committing adultery. The Pharisees brought her to Jesus. He stopped them from stoning her by asking one simple question. “If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.” Pretty bold, huh? He will do no less for you.

Grasping this one concept can move you to the level of complete dependence on Jesus. This will allow you to be bold about your choices, bold about what you believe and why you believe it, and bold about using your experience to help others.

Encouragement:

Throw the covers back every morning thanking God for His promises in 2 Timothy 1:7. Memorize the verse and allow it to become part of your DNA.
