Be Confident

I wish I looked like her. He’ll never ask me out. I’m out of his league. I didn’t make the team. My dad pays more attention to his girlfriend than to me. Fill in the blank. What is the evil one whispering in your ear to sabotage your self esteem?

We develop a lack of self confidence because we depend on our own resources. God has every resource we could possibly need. Our confidence has to come from Him.

You may not look like someone you admire, but know that God has a brilliant purpose for the way you look. You may be attracted to someone who you feel is out of your league but God knows he’s not a good fit for you so He’s protecting you from making a mistake. If you didn’t make the team then know God has another direction for you. Ask Him what it is and go for it. If you’re yearning for more attention from your dad ask God to intervene on your behalf.

“ And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” 2 Corinthians 9:8

Encouragement:

God is your source for every doubt and fear in your life. Hang out with Him. Listen to Him. Hold your shoulders back and head high because your Heavenly Father has every resource you could possibly need. Are you smiling yet?
