Encouraged

“I  sought the Lord and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.” Psalm 34: 4-5

Every breathing female needs encouragement and affirmation. You crave it from your parents, especially your fathers. It’s just the way you’re wired. Instability in the home can chip away at your confidence, and if you aren’t receiving the encouragement you need, it will become evident in every aspect of your life.

Please don’t wait for someone else to encourage you. Encourage yourself. Before you leave home every morning, look in the mirror, and say, “I rock today, or I’m going to ace my test today, or I’m going to smile at everybody I see today, or I look beautiful today.” Words are very powerful. We begin to believe what we hear.

Don’t waste another day thinking you’re less than, too fat, too ugly, not smart enough, or the only person whose parents are divorced. God gave you a blank sheet of paper to carve out your dreams. Just because your parents divorced doesn’t mean you throw it all away.

Encouragement:

Speak affirmations to yourself every morning and also encourage others. Take every opportunity to compliment someone. You are precious and beautiful to our Heavenly Father, so hold your head high.

Know I’m praying for you,

Sherry
